Meeting Monday October 17, 2011 -
We (sometimes) have to buy from the WIKI and nowhere else.
Everyone agrees that we want iPods.
Do we HAVE to buy through Wiki? Can we buy through another vendor that is cheaper?
We have to buy Apple Care protection.
Tech budget: Nothing from county, 7500 from state, nothing YET from Dunn.
We know we need: power brick for doc camera, usb hubs,
If we combine instr with tech: approximately $13,000.
We are getting one class set of 30 iPods with cart. Ms. Brown will work out scheduling.
We are getting science money.
Fifth grade: needs to decide about science money.....could buy more iPods($300)/iPads ($600) or a science program to come here.
OR - Fourth and fifth grade COULD pool science money to get something more expensive.
No AIG money this year.
Purchasing books for the library: Please give Mrs. Varner ideas of specific titles etc.
$1700 from state goes to ink, repair products, magazine subscriptions, tags, etc.
Book Fair: October ; money will go towards more books, taking pic for a dollar. - - Green Fair in spring.
There will be training and rules workshops on iPods. They will all be engraved, "Wayne Avenue School" and "Find My iPhone" app will be put on ALL devices.
